- Rifled Walls of Faith; a journal of confession September 2010 - Present: Fundraiser / Author. Wrote and self-published a novel as a fundraiser for World Food Programme. The novel explores the origin of individual thought and the reality of a collective higher consciousness. Roughly 50% of proceeds get donated to World Food Programme depending on which distributor sells the book- the book’s homepage, the iBookstore, or Amazon.
- Tokai University- Yamagata Preparatory August 2005 - Present: English Instructor / Instructional Technology Trainer. Have been continually redesigning the yearly curriculum as well as all classroom materials and exams in all media types for nearly 300 students along 5 proficiency levels. Actively involved in providing technology-based instructional design training to fellow English Instructors throughout the Tokai system around Japan. Personal research project has discovered that students will remember 20% more language being taught if simultaneous visuals are delivered in place on non-simultaneous visuals, like flashcards, for example.
- Nova Corporation April 2004 - August 2005: English Communication Instructor. Provided daily, private communication lessons for children and adults following a strategic curriculum aimed at developing foreign language fluency in various speaking scenarios. Proven testing designs and text books delivered courses that focused on daily communication in Business English and TOEIC.
- Sonoma Outfitters September 2003 - March 2004: Sales Associate. Provided direct assistance to customers seeking information based on experience with technical climbing equipment and other outdoor gear for skiing, hiking, kayaking, and backpacking.
- BHP Billiton- Cerro Colorado, Iquique, Chile April 2003 - September 2003: English Instructor for International Executives. A team of 3 set up the school and classrooms for Bridge Linguatec’s Iquique branch in the Atacama Desert. Students were evaluated and assessed before designing an educational curriculum based on their ability and objectives for studying ESL. Private and small group lessons in Business English were provided using a variety of textbooks and video.
- Kirkwood Ski Resort, Kirkwood, CA January 2001 - March 2003: Ski School Administration Supervisor & Marketing Associate. Set up lessons for instructors and dealt directly with the public. Photo shoots for film, brochure and catalog production were also done for the Marketing Department.
- 1996 - 1997 Season: EMT Pro Ski Patroller: Provided mountain safety, aided in avalanche control with high explosives, performed treatment to injured persons inside the protocol of a California State Licensed Emergency Medical Technician.
- Montana State University- Bozeman, MT 2000-2001: Exponent Opinions Columnist. Provided the bi-weekly University Newspaper with entertaining opinions that were designed to challenge the current trends in political thought and popular culture.
- Arterial Vascular Engineering / Medtronic Inc., Santa Rosa, CA 1998: Coronary Stent Engineering Technician. Produced the catheter-production hand tools through strict tolerances to allow the world’s leading coronary stents and catheters to be manufactured in adherence to FDA guidelines.
